Established in 1918, the school offers a comprehensive athletic program with 30 sports teams, including football, basketball, hockey, and soccer. The campus features a stadium field for varsity games, a turf field for practices, and multiple grass soccer fields, accommodating a range of athletic activities.
For younger athletes, Rosemount Middle School offers sports programs for 7th and 8th graders, with some sports available to 6th graders. The school’s athletic mission emphasizes sportsmanship, leadership, commitment, teamwork, and integrity, aiming to develop students into productive community members.
Community Sports Facilities
The Irish Sports Dome is a premier indoor facility spanning over 100,000 square feet. It provides a year-round environment for soccer enthusiasts, featuring a full-size turf field and multiple training areas. The dome serves both the Lakeville Soccer Club and Rosemount High School athletics, ensuring that soccer remains active even during Minnesota’s coldest months.
The Rosemount Ice Arena is a single-sheet facility with an NHL-sized rink. It hosts the Rosemount High School boys and girls hockey teams, the District 196 figure skating team, and the Rosemount Area Hockey Association. The arena is typically open from early June through early May, offering skate sharpening services and a concession stand during games and tournaments.
